The DSDHM is a scientific society for physicians working in diving and hyperbaric medicine, and the agency of the European College of Baromedicine in the Netherlands. We develop the curriculums, we teach them, and we put your application for certification forward to the ECB.

Dive Medicine Academy is where we deliver that training in English, to physicians anywhere in the world.

Our curriculums follow the standards set by the ECHM and the EDTC, and are accredited by the European College of Baromedicine. Your certificate is recognised across Europe, not just in the Netherlands.

Taught by practising specialists

The DMP curriculum is led by dr Rob van Hulst, professor emeritus in hyperbaric medicine. You are taught by specialists who work in diving and hyperbaric medicine, not by professional trainers.

Live online, on site when it counts

Nine live webinars you can follow from anywhere in the world. Three days of hands on training at Amsterdam UMC and BC Opleidingen in Enkhuizen, where theory meets a real chamber.

CME points for every session

Each webinar carries four CME points, accredited by GAIA and UEMS-EACCME, awarded once you pass the exam and complete the evaluation form. The full DMP curriculum is worth 52 points.

Dive Medicine Academy

Diving does not stop at a border, and neither should the standard of care that follows it. For years our curriculums were taught in Dutch, to Dutch physicians. Dive Medicine Academy opens the same training, to the same European standard, to colleagues wherever they practise.

Some physicians want the whole curriculum and the certificate that follows it. Others need one specific subject, this year, for their own practice. Both are possible, and you can always upgrade later.
